Jade Lantern Kitchen is a concept website for a Cantonese restaurant designed around the growing demand for online ordering and food delivery. Rather than prioritizing the dine-in experience, the project focuses on helping customers browse the menu, place orders quickly, and discover signature dishes with minimal friction.

My Approach
I designed the website around the journey of a customer who already knows they want food and wants to order without unnecessary steps. The layout prioritizes menu visibility, product imagery, and prominent ordering calls to action while maintaining a clean visual style inspired by contemporary Asian restaurants.
The experience was built responsively in Wix Studio, ensuring a smooth ordering flow across desktop and mobile devices.
Design Decisions
Online Ordering First
The website places ordering at the center of the user journey, with clear calls to action that encourage visitors to begin browsing the menu immediately. Wix Restaurants supports dedicated online ordering, delivery, and pickup workflows that informed this concept.
Menu Architecture
The digital menu is organized into clear categories, making it easier for customers to scan dishes, compare options, and make decisions quickly without feeling overwhelmed.
Product Presentation
Large food photography and concise descriptions help communicate freshness, quality, and portion expectations, reducing uncertainty before placing an order.
Delivery-Focused User Experience
Navigation and page structure were designed to minimize the number of steps between arriving on the website and completing an online order, supporting the expectations of delivery customers.
Mobile Responsive Design
Since many food orders originate from mobile devices, the layouts were designed to remain clear, touch-friendly, and easy to navigate across different screen sizes.
